Beena M. Parikh, Ph.D

Beena M. Parikh, PhD is a Central Florida native and University of South Florida alumni, she obtained her PhD. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale.  After graduating, she came back “home” to Orlando to continue her Psychology practice using her clinical skills and enthusiasm to inspire a healthy and balanced lifestyle to cope more effectively with life issues and mental health problems. In 2011, she was inspired to transfer her talents to serve as Practice Administrator alongside her husband, Dr. Amish M. Parikh. Together, they are the driving force behind Premier Cardiology & Vascular Associates. 

 

Beena's passion for arts and culture ring through on her considerable list of projects and accolades. Most recently, she and her husband were added to the Donor Wall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.  

 

Beena serves on the (CRP) Citizen Review Panel, an Orange County Advisory Board which evaluate and distribute funding requests from Central Florida  philanthropic and community organizations. As a member of the Board of Directors of the  (OMYF) Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Beena works on initiatives from youth education and housing to health programs focused on preventing childhood obesity. OMYF is dedicated to nourishing the minds and bodies of children who need it most. 

 

As a founding member of the Indian American Chamber of Commerce, Beena was a driving force behind the IACC's inaugural India Day with the Orlando Magic: an exciting showcase of Indian culture, cuisine and entertainment. During India Day 2016, Beena made her television debut interviewing Madhuri Dixit, an award winning Bollywood actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, during the IACC Fireside Chat entitled “Powerful Indian Women”  (televised LIVE from the Amway Center to one million US viewers on TV Asia).  

 

 

Her involvement with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin was taken to a new level when she served as the Director of Operations for the 33rd Annual AAPI Convention and Scientific Assembly held in Orlando in June 2015 which had 1500 attendees and a budget of nearly $2 Million.  She remains active with their local chapter, CAPI.

 

Beena considers education a top priority, as she serves on the Advisory Board for Nova Southeastern University - Orlando and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Windermere Preparatory School. She and her husband also support A Gift for Teaching with their efforts to bring free school supplies to at-risk kids in Central Florida and a as a member of the Board of Trustees for Windermere Preparatory School. She has served as Secretary of the Governing Council for the Hindu Society of Central Florida where she led efforts to build new memberships and create community partnerships.  

 

Balancing passions is a great skill of Dr. Beena Parikh, she blends her professional, community and family lives, bringing her personal brand of energy and enthusiasm to all she does. Along with her husband Dr. Amish M. Parikh they are honored to contribute through the Parikh Family Fund.
